The two were together with the Chargers from 2014-2020, when Steichen worked as an offensive quality control coach, quarterbacks coach and eventually offensive coordinator in 2019 and 2020. Allen, 34, will wear No. 10 in Indianapolis. Across 13 seasons with the Chargers and Bears he has piled up 1,055 receptions for 12,051 yards and 70 touchdowns, earning six Pro Bowl nods. For DFS purposes, Allen has always been a high-volume underneath and slot target, and landing with a play-caller who already knows how to scheme him open is about the best possible fit.
