Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Aaron Judge will begin his hitting progression this week as he works back from a stress fracture in his right rib. Judge had been playing catch, running, and doing swing-related work in the pool in recent days, and a rehab assignment is expected to be the next step once he clears the hitting phase. The three-time MVP has now missed a long stretch of games, and New York’s offense has cratered without him, ranking near the bottom of MLB in runs scored and OPS during his absence. A firm return date has not been set. (source: MLB.com, CBS Sports, Bleacher Report)
