Aaron Judge is finally swinging again. The Yankees captain, out since May 31 with a fractured right rib that traces back to an April 26 dive in Houston, has started a formal hitting progression this week — tee work and soft toss after being cleared for light baseball activity on Aug. 5. There’s still no firm return date, and New York isn’t rushing one: Judge needs a longer ramp-up than a typical spring build, with September the realistic target for live game action. For anyone rostering Yankees bats down the stretch, this is the update to keep tracking. (source: MLB.com, Yahoo Sports, Sports Illustrated, NY Sports Day)
