Kirk Cousins has had enough of defenders finding his arm in practice. After Tuesday’s joint session with the Houston Texans, the Raiders quarterback explained his latest flare-up simply: “My elbow got hit.” It follows an earlier training camp scuffle in which Maxx Crosby hit Cousins’ arm, prompting Cousins to grab him by the collar before teammates broke the two apart. Cousins said getting hit on the arm in practice threatens his livelihood, noting he has scars from hits where helmets went into armpits and ruined a season. He also floated ditching the red non-contact jersey entirely, saying that if the understood rule isn’t actually understood, then what are we doing. For fantasy and DFS purposes, this matters: head coach Klint Kubiak has Cousins opening the season as QB1 on a one-year, $11.3 million deal, with No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza waiting behind him. Any arm issue is a genuine threat to a Las Vegas passing game DFS players are already eyeing as a value-tier target, so keep tracking the practice reports.
